The default view of devices is presented in a List Format, providing a comprehensive overview where essential device communication details are symmetrically laid out. This view facilitates easier monitoring and management for IoT project owners.
The Device list view consist of several columns, each representing specific information about the devices.
Below is a detailed description of each column:
Device Name: Name assigned to the device according to the project requirements.
Device ID: A globally unique identifier (GUID) for each device, ensuring it is distinguishable within the network.
Main Output: The primary sensor data or information that the device is designed to capture and transmit.
Other Output: Additional sensor data or information that the device may also capture and stream, complementing the main output.
Hardware Type: The category or type of sensor hardware the device falls under, such as temperature, humidity, motion, etc.
Location: The specific group, cluster, or physical/geographical location the device is associated with, often used for categorization or management purposes.
Last Heard: The timestamp of the most recent communication received from the device, indicating its last active status.
The primary columns remain intact with the list to begin with : Name, Device ID, Main Output, Hardware Type, Last Heard.
To view the other hidden columns, use the table column (****Update the Image as it has Cluster written) manipulation button :
User can also apply filters on the devices on the basis of different hardware types or locations.
Ginjer allows users to update their view preferences between List and Card formats. The Card view offers a visually appealing monitoring experience, where device images and their essential details are presented in a card-style layout. This format enhances the user experience by providing a more organized and aesthetically pleasing way to monitor devices.
